We did it last year , maybe not soon enough for you however the road is pretty good , we went through King Fisher Station to Devils
Gate from
Lawn Hill well worth that part of the trip , I will say though the track through that station isn't graded and was full of deep bull dust at the time that last for a few kms felt like ages .
Some creek crossings at the
lawn hill end
We towed our 1.5 ton camper trailer and car is V8
I would
check track conditions at Adels Grove when you get there .
Road from Devils gat to
Borroloola is easy good road with some stony sections and creek crossings .
Easy to do in a Prado .
I would still ask when you get there it is just out of the wet season .

Hello Frier, we came from the west that way last week and currently at Lawnhill. Overall the road is very good with most of it being graded over the last month. Still need to take it easy due to some minor corrugations, dips and washouts that can come up fast. The road is slightly worse asyou go west.
