Well no sooner do I post that it's all go with the roads than it rains ! We have had set in light rain from us across the North and they are saying it could hang about for another few days.
Now so far it's not heavy rain but it is constant and widespread. Considering the area had only just dried up enough to get through then this rain will alter things. It won't take much rain to make the King Edward crossing impassable and the
ranger at the plateau is recomending that folks depart and that we tell others not to go in till we see what happens next.
This time I don't want the rain either, so lets all hope it goes soon.
cheers, Anne

G'day Anne,
Good to see you on the
forum. Hope you're
well. Sounds like you've done a lot of work on Drysdale & she's pretty flash since I was up last. How's Tim & Kate been coping with Riley on the plateau this season?
Cheers
Rob G (
Melbourne).

We've just got back from a trip down the GRR and Plateau. Did a flight on the helicopters with Tim and Kate. Their
young one Riley was doing
well. We had our son with us who is 10 days younger (Both 7 months) and they thought it was great to see another child the same age!!
Regards Hank

Hi Rob,
They are all
well and happy and lucky that Riley is a very happy chappy. He has his own little chat in the background sometimes while I am talking to Kate. I haven't seen him since he was tiny so looking forward to the next chance to do so.
regards, Anne

Hi Anne - funny how the rain comes. Just drizzling here again. I managed to fly out last week for some R & R (read shopping - came back like Imelda Marcos with three pairs of good shoes) . Flew back in last night and now drizzle. Cloud seems widespread over fiar bit of middle Australia. We really don't need it now either. Good to hear from you - guess you have been busy also.

Hi Ruth, yes flat out as always millions of problems when you open up after 6 months. Sometimes feel there would be less work in staying open. No customers so not possible of course but it takes ages to unpack it all and set up again. Even longer to banish all trace of the frogs etc.
It's now almost 7 months since I last went to a town, don't need any shoes but could do with a hair cut. The last one I gave myself in front of a mirror leaves a lot to be desired !
regards, Anne
