Just to follow up on Bob Y's comments re our crossing with Bob and the Boss and Eighty Matey and Narrelle. It was a great trip, company was excellent, the desert was beautiful - bit of rain, plenty of mud, the sand was nicely compacted with the moisture. The Madigan was surprisingly a very enjoyable drive. As Bob mentioned Camp 13 to 14 was slow - averaged 16 k one hour!

Used 162 lt Birdsville to Birdsville (Dmax), no punctures, no problems, with the three vehicles.

Called in yesterday for a cuppa at Bob's place, home 2.00 pm today. Bit of drizzle, on the Hann Highway now renamed Kennedy Development Road (the Lynd to Boulia), good road though - three vehicles in 265 k.

Thanks Bob and Steve and wives,Kerry and I enjoyed every minute. Bob is a fountain of knowledge on all things concerning Western Queensland and Steve is one hell of a good story teller. Wives kept us in trim!

And G'day to Reggy 2, all the best from us Wilson's.

David and Kerry
