Oh fat one you don't have a dilemma, I would not ever believe that you have a dilemma considering how many times you have posted about your intended truck.

Have you bought the damm thing yet ?

Hi Old Fat one
Good to see you got your truck, Sorry I missed your prior post advising of this event.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I have with mine, all the add on's are half the fun as driving the real thing.

Good luck with it.

Hi fat bastard, This is an easy one....... they are a comfortable as the seats you put them on. If the seats are bad the canvas will not help if they are good they will not make them bad....

Regards

my opinion is that seat covers are for A) keeping the sun off of vinyl seats or B) keeping myour cloth seats nice for resale I would go cheaper seat covers and throw them away when dirty or ripped

Fats,
I've got Black Duck canvas in the 4wd. Its good. Maybe very good.
I have leather in the Mon-Fri work car , and the canvas is much better - breathes, grippy and washable.
Never had sheepskin.
Regards,
Brad.

I have Black Duck canvas covers on my TLC and they are very good . No worries about putting grubby marks on your cloth seats when half your quarter pounder drops between your legs at the roundabout . They don't burn your butt in hot weather either .
I had sheepskin in my 80 series and the seats were a different size on this 100 TD so I had to make a change . These are better than the sheep skin because dirt doesn't lodge in them and they don't stink like sheep . Kiwi aftershave does nothing for me !

Willie when washing wool, soak in gentle spin cycle, with a good wool mix(Martha Gardeners) from memory.

We have the Black Duck covers on all our farm vehicles - they last well and do protect the seats from wearing out, so they are not soft and cushy. For long trips I sit on a pillow for comfort (and to see over the dashboard coz i'm built like a duck too). Use the canvas to save you car seats, and add a sheepskin to save your seat.

The seat covers that Toyota sell are made by Black Duck and are cheaper than buying direct when I bought mine.

I have Black Duck covers on the seats of the Oodnadatta ambulance, and I can verify that they protect the seats!! Blood, vomit, mud, dog c**p - it has coped with them all. Hopefully you only have to worry about the mud :-))

They are as comfortable as the seats under them, just like sheepskin covers (ie: good covers won't help a bad seat be comfortable on a long trip).

Cheers
