I'm looking to insure my 2007 VDJ79 L/C with $47K of accessories. Any recommendations on Insurance Companies worth talking to?

Mick, just a quick question? Is the $47K all up figure or only the accessories?

I'll be interested to see how it goes as it looks like a large amount on a 9-year old vehicle. It will depend on how willing they are to insure accessories over the value of the car.
I suspect most main stream will have difficulty with this type of proposal, so will be specialist type provider.
Let us know how it goes.

Hi Mick M,
If you are looking to insure both your tug and the off-road trailer (based on your profile picture), you might need to get two insurance policies - one for each. I have "no geographic limit" insurance policies for my vehicle and camper trailer through a broker in
Adelaide (Arthur J Gallagher) but they're not cheap. They also have brokers in
Melbourne and
Ballarat (Victoria).
Cheers

It thought I spent plenty, I'd be interested to see how you get to $47,000.

Wow $47k - that's a lot of accessories. I thought I was
well accessorised, my total is
well under that.

Mick
Like you I have heaps of additions to my L/C which puts
well over the "Red Book" value.
I am with WFI. It is definitely not the cheapest, but it is comprehensive and they do agreed value.
I am insured anywhere in Australia, so long as it is legal for me to be there (or I have permission from the owners), I am not breaking the law (speeding, drinking or drugging) and the vehicle is designed to go there.
I get a good deal because I have all my insurance with them. There claims process is pretty simple and I haven't had any hassles making a claim yet. I haven't had many, but we're pretty big ones.
Cheers
Anthony
