Yes we did it on a budget which we reckon was just over $100 each per day plus the vehicle costs (not fuel) incl. buying the Jeep for $12,000 which is in good nick & I get to keep. We still need to do some work on the vehicles with cleaning and servicing. We found we ate out a lot more than we had planned, and in the end those cabins were welcome compared to the tent.
68 days is a long time and we will look for shorter excursions next.
