Hi there,
Does anyone know if $35.50 for 50Amp Anderson Plugs is a reasonable deal?
Cheers,
Rob.

Yes I do - its not ! I paid $21 for one
grey connector (50A) at Dario's caravan supplies St Marys (
Adelaide metro)...hell....I thought that was quite enough ! The
http://www.andersonpower.com site is good but - lots of technical advice on the equipment and tech specs for the connectors..........

Rob,
I am guesing that is for a pair, it's about what they are asking on EBAY, however if you do a search I have seen previous posts where they are less than this, don't know the supplier though

NOOO it's not, go to
http://www.rsaustralia.com and order from there, it's a little bit of mucking around to register, but good value when you do. I originaly paid $25 for just a single Anderson plug, then found out about the RS site and ordered another 10, for $100.
You have to order them in seperate part numbers # 290-6124 is the actualy
grey (or red) plastic plug ($4.95 each), # 290-6118 is the pins for the plug ($2.20 each, of course you need 2 tho) so they work out less than $10 a plug. I actualy ordered 10 plugs and 24 pins so if I wanted to chop a plug off and rewire it I could.
Sounds like a lot, but I put one on each battery, the solar panel, camper trailer, back of car, battery charger, a 5 meter 6mm extension cable and one on a a short length of cable attached to 2 aligator clips so I can use my charger and solar panel on cars that don't have Anderson plug attachmets.
Delivery was the very next day as
well.

That sounds more like it. I work for an electrical wholesaler & although I dont get this sort of thing very often I can't remember them costing not much more than $8-10 each complete with the 2 pins.
just my $10.00 worth
