I have just spent 20 mins on Google maps, where is Palmerville? I've followed the Palmer river from its source to Palmerville end of 4WD track. there is a Palmerville road at Laura, there is a Chillagoe but no Palmerville

Just curious since Google doesn't know where it is either

Hi Outback Wanderers go to Laura and then drop down to Maytown and then you will see Palmerville.

i was up there this last week and Fitzies are working on the road from Maytown to Palmerville and it is very good. I believe the rest to Chillagoe is ok and you should not have too much trouble.

Yep. On it three days ago. Came off the BDR to palmerville on the Mt Mulgrave Rd then right towards maytown. The road has just been done up and is magnificent. The track into Maytown is a challenge though. Cheers.

Drove through from the Laura end right through to Chillagoe about a week ago nice drive and you wont have any problems. Creek crossings and opening and closing gates will slow you up a bit in about the middle section.
Cheers, Mark.

Hi Mark

We have plans to drive from Laura to Fairwiew, Palmerville Station, Mount Mulgrave and then to Chillagoe. I think you drove the same way. How long was your drive?

Kind regards from Switzerland, Thomas
