Tanami Track and Gary Junction Road conditions.

We came down Gary Junction Rd last week and it was recently graded and overall excellent condition all the way to Marble Bar.
We went up the Tanami 8 weeks ago and it was also recently graded and in excellent condition.
But people in caravan parks can give you all sorts of opinions about what conditions are like - there's plenty out there who think one corrugation make a track pretty bad because they never let their tyres down.
Maybe I'm at the other end - I expect the worst, let plenty of air out of the tyres and am usually pleasantly surprised. But both those roads were in great condition when we travelled them.

The Gary Junction is your best way any time LazyLux. You have been referred to very recent reports on this thread. Go for it; it is a lovely drive.

There are reports coming in from fellow travellers here in Alice that it is very wet on the Tanami and now the Gary Junction Road.

We were out that way last Monday and Tuesday (11 and 12 July). At least from Alice to Kiwirrkurra. The road is in the best condition I have ever seen it. Freshly graded and not a corrugation to speak of.

I just did the Tanami from HC to Alice and the road is fine, some corrugations. Going into Wolfe Creek is very corrugated.
