I am considering buying a Jurgens TuffTRAX. The only internet information is manufacturer and dealer blurbs that are not always helpful.
Are there any owners that would like to comment on this van?
Thanks

Have you tried a search here? There was an owner with a real horror story in regard to bad rot problems.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes I saw the horror stories. However they were some years ago and imports from South Africa.
The TuffTRAX is a Australian designed van based on the SA designs. Manufactured and tested here for off-road conditions. That is why I am looking for present owners and their comments.

Lets wait and see what comes up. I will also ask on MySwag there could be a large group there.

I think if you read the website, they are made in South Africa.
Know a few people with Jurgens and they are happy with them.......a little quirky in some ways, but if it appeals to you then all OK..

Used to be able to buy these vans at a very reasonable price but since they were "brought up to Aussie standards" the price doubled. A bit like the uk imports. Chassis and and a few other tweaks apparently justified a doubling of the cost. The original versions weren't without wheels or a chassis but still ....

Protectionism eh?

Mate of mine bought a Jergan though no idea f model 6 months ago, is n Mexico (vic) at present getting multiple things fixed getting things fixed n QLD was problematic he said, his wife's comments were that unresolved and far too numerous issues had compounded and if the van were to suffer instantaneous combustion she would not be disappointed. Yes they have owned several vans over the past 40 years, last one was even a bloody jayco which presented no issue (llol).
