Have never stayed there, Greendog, but Argylla 'van park always looks neat and tidy. It's on outskirts of the Isa, on left hand side as you travel towards
Cloncurry.

Easy way is to use the Wikicamps app. Set the filter to your requirements, ours are dog friendly, large rig, Telstra mobile access - it will then only show those
places that match those requirements.
You can also see what the price is, read user
feedback and see any photos that have been posted for each location. Usually takes about 10-15 minutes each night to find the next stop, I then write down the GPS co-ordinates and put them into the GPS before leaving next day.

I was permanent in the Mt Isa Caravan Pk back 2004/5/6 until I moved to
Perth, it is also on left at end of the divided road heading East opposite the Overland Hotel and
IGA , make sure your vehicle is locked at night, and I think this will apply to all Caravan Pks in the Isa ,
Mt Isa Caravan Pk

Yes Doug, there are some very noisy and inquisitive neighbours living behind the park.

Greendog
Stayed at Moondarra for a night a month ago. Reasonably basic, but lower tarrif. Showers were clean, has a large amount of donga type accomodation but none of it seemed to be utilised at the moment. Seems to be favoured by people without kids wuth a few permanents. It's out towards the airport on the western side of town. I won't critisise it, I was just looking for something for a day, but it's not somewhere I'd base the family for a week though.

We would agree with replies so far. However, from our experience Mt Isa CPs get very busy during the travelling "season" and it is very advisable to book
well ahead especially if you want three sites. Lynne

Used them twice (2014 and 2015) and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again.
