Is there any other way of sending a member message to someone without having to find a post or follow up through the forum. I've tried entering the member's name in the search function but it doesn't find anything.
I'm trying in particular to contact outnabout david if any one can forward this post on to him I'd appreciate it. His e-mail addy on the rig photo bounced back to me.

All

There needs to be a member only list where members can Post their details if they so desire.

It covers any privacy issues that the left wingers can dream up, as it would only be accessible by members who elect to post their details without any threat, promis or inducement to do so, for other members benefit.

Hi Al
Send to David (explorOz) to forward on to Outnabout David (SA) that way he will get your addy & reply to you ( think thats how it works)

also change your addy under the pic, so it is not an ACTUAL addy
something like mine is (under the pic also) it is harder for spyware things to find.

Not long to your Berri W/E
Cheers.

Is a bit of a bother to find the posts some times Des, I agree. Would help a lot to have the "send member msg" tag attached to the member rig info when you search the members and find them.

Could be he bounced you on purpose as I do with one of my old addies if I don't know the address it is coming from. Using Mailwasher of course.... can look at the mail before you bounce it if you want to.

I have another addy that has a bounce capability too at Fastmail. www.fastmail.fm is anyone was interested is a great low cost fast service. Faster and cheaper then good hotmail data rates. Set up by Melbourne guys I believe but servers in the US and UK. It can be accessed from Outlook too.

I have just modified the Members Rig page to allow you to send member messages from the View Rig. I have also changed the View Rig page to be a standard page on ExplorOz (ie: it does not open a new window). This is part one in a number of mods to Member Messages that will occur over the next few days.

Hope this helps a little.

Someone asked me to make the MM alert a little more obvious and I have now added a pop-up window when you get a Member Message.

I have also started adjusting some of the little bugs in the read/display and the flagging that all messages have been read.

Hope it makes it easier for you all. Enjoy.

Thanks David. It looks great. The pop up message works too.
All this for a miserely $50 initial membership fee.

Not getting many messages lately though, I've been a bit quiet on the forum due to Ford keeping me busy with work. Damn cars are selling too well and now we have the Territory selling like hot cakes and it's not even released yet, Tomorrow is the big day but I can see me at work 7 days a week soon...groan
