Has anyone fitted a long-range tank to Ford Ranger/BT50 say 140 - 150 litre where the computer readout - economy, trip distance, fuel balance in tank is not effected ??

What model mate, pre PX equivalent ?
(Think that came out 2011 ?)
Pretty sure the computer finction will no longer be accurate, but then I wouldn't trust them anyway.
Scroll down this page, the LRA website to that FAQ
Here's a few
forum threads that might help . . .

Maybe a scangauge can be set up with new tank size info ? See comment 2 in last link.

Every thing works except the Distance to Empty when full. You have to wait until it drops below 80litres to work.
You need to make sure the installer sets the float arm correctly otherwise your low fuel light will come on early and will upset the DTE figures. When
mine was fitted the fuel light was coming on when I still had 80Litres in the tank and the DTE said I was about to run out of fuel.
They had a couple of goes at getting it right and After talking to the manufacturers of the tank I was able to supply the installer with the fitting instructions which they had not looked at.
All good now, light comes on when about 100K to gpo until empty.
There is no computer workaround to get the DTE correct with a full tank.

Hi Tuck
I had a 140L Brown and Davis tank fitted to my 2013
Ranger only a couple of months ago.
Mine shows DTE as about 860km constantly until I have done about 350-400 km. It will then start to drop and I have had it down to less than 20km until empty before filling up and put in about 7L. After a few fills you get used to the change in display. I hope this helps.
