Hi people.
In the next couple of years me and wife are going to be spending an extended time on the road. Wife be getting hospital work, but I will have to get whatever I can.
Keen to hear from anyone who has worked while traveling in Oz, experiences of getting temporary work, constructive advice, etc.

Can be handy to get some qualifications like: fork lift ticket (for harvest work); responsible service of alcohol (work in seasonal tourism operations), medium or heavy rigid driving licence.

There's plenty of work available out there. If you are generally handy with tools, can drive a tractor, handle a chainsaw, operate a cash register etc. We looked after a cattle station over the Wet one year, worked in a winery during a vintage and picked up other short term work as we desired. In one three month period I was offered 11 jobs ranging from running a petrol station, tending a caravan park grounds IT Manager (my job before I retired) etc.
