hi territory29 we went through in early june it wasn't to bad the bitumen finished 80Km west of Tilmouth
well just past
Yuendumu there was two Graders Grading the road west of
Yuendumu. For fuel you can get it at Tilmouth
well or
Yuendumu and Balgo.

Fuel: Billiluna (two kilometres from road), Balgo (forty kilometres from road, and you need a permit which may take time for your application to be assessed),
Yuendumu,
Tilmouth Well Roadhouse. Balgo to
Yuendumu is around 561 kilometres.

Traveled the road between 8 & 9 July and it was a mixed bag but in the main pretty good. Fuel as per mother Hen's comments.
BUT! A storm went through the area around the 12th and closed the Tanami and a number of other roads in the area. Kanga from this
Forum got caught on the road and told me it was a quagmire in
places and he was slip sliding all over the place. He was unaware the road had been closed at the
Halls Creek end. Another person I spoke to had to take refuge at WC Crater.
I suspect that the graders will have been through and fixed up any bad spots.
Excellent camping is available at the tree line about 10km east of Rabbit Flats. Cleared areas are available for easily 500m back from th eroad so suitable for all sizes of groups and rigs.
A single strand of barbed wire stops traffic from entering the now abandoned Rabbit Flats RH.
BTW the track into Wolfe Creek Crater is awful but oddly enough the trip out was much better the drive in.
cheers
Dunc

Just completed the trip today (Tuesday) travelling from
Halls Creek.
Road was variable in condition withpatches capable of 100kph other right down to 30 or so Corrogstions pretty
well all the way of variable amplitude
Completed it in a Mazda CX5 but didnt tow anything
I would rate it as a fair road
