Hose bags

Hi

We have had a couple of "the hose bag" bags for about 6 years. Well made and have lasted well. Picked them up a bit cheaper at one of the caravan & camping shows.

Sorry I can't compare them to other brands.

I have 2 of them as I have 2 hoses. Used them one and will not bother again with them.

They are a complete PITA to try and get the hose coiled into them. I find my original method work much better by using 2 lengths of velcro - one short and one long.

The short one is wrapped around the hose at one end and then form a loop the size you want and wrap the rest of the short length to close the first loop. Now wind the rest of the hose into the same size loop and once finished, use the longer length of velcro to hold the large loop/complete hose. I then use a hose joiner to seal the 2 ends together - no dripping water escaping into your boot.

We use one of these $4 bags from our local supermarket chain here in NZ owned by your own Woolworths.
The 10m drinking water hose rolls up inside easily. Still looks like new after 18 months of full time travel and regular use.

I have tried the hose bags but found much easier to use a couple of bits velcro strap. The best I found was ones for fishing rods. Had them for years now.
Gave away hose bag to give someone else grief.
