Interested in seeing paddocks of Sturts Desert Pea in and around Roxby and
Andamooka this year especially after all the rain. Plan to be in the area around 16/9 for a couple of days, will we be lucky to see any?

Hi Jinki and Harry
I have not heard any report from Roxby yet, but they are starting to show their heads further north.
There were quite a few patches along the
Oodnadatta Track the other week.
Cheers

Hi Jinki
When they are in their peak growth, the area around the Purple Downs turn off will have them in full patches the size of a
football field.
They looks unreal like that, I realy love them when they are in other colours and you will soon see where they are from the
well worn paths through the normal flowers.
Cheers
Stephen

They're a bit scattered about the place at present and none at Purple Downs turnoff. Seen a few on the way out to Stuarts Creek out back of
Andamooka the other day.

They are out on the Borefield track too and a great display out front of the
Andamooka Post Office. I am told there was a white bloom of Sturt Desert Pea once upon a time near that location but the curious nature of someone resulted in its removal. Oh dear!!

hi Jinki & Harry
Just back from a month in that area 22/8/2016, yep they were out in
Andamooka and
Gammon ranges, just a few of them, and had more rain whilst we were there. Should be good about now or the next few weeks and plenty of other wild flowers out as
well
cheers
David
