Does anyone know where subtank relay on a 2011 Toyota single cab VDJ79 is located? It is the relay that is turned on via the sub switch, which then activates the 2 fuel solenoids. I have gone onto the online Toyota manuals and can find no reference to it's location

Thanks Kevin

Thanks for the reply, the link is about the solenoids, not the relay that drives them. Also the 2011 model is the one with airbags and the dash layout is different.

Have you tried Lcool.org?
Repository of all Toyo 4WD knowledge.

The Haynes type manuals are also good with lots of pics. Do you have access to one of them?

How about you getting under the car and get someone to operate the "SUB" switch in the cabin. I don't know if this will work but you may hear both the solenoids and the relay. Just chase the noise!

A bit outside the box but it may help.

Phil

Edit:: Not your model but I found this on a forum at iH8MUD;

Solved!

Went to an electrician... he made a hot wire connection somewhere in the fuse box, disconnected the battery for twenty minutes, put it back, and the sub tank worked!

He told me there must have been a short somewhere, the control unit decided to shut off this section, until further reprogramming.

Thanks for those who tried to help.

I am putting a rear fuel tank into a single tank (factory option) cruiser. I have located position of missing relay and will post if anyone is interested.

Thanks for everyones replies.
