Gday all,

My 92 Troopy has done 270000 KM's and I plan to keep it for quite a while yet. Too many mods to get rid of it and start again!!
I have noticed over the past year and in particular after a trip across the Simpson that the 1HZ isn't performing as it used to. For example I find that I am now up one more gear going up some steep hills then I used to be and it also blows a little bit more black smoke out the exhaust..

Has anyone had a injector exchange and fuel pump reco on a 1HZ?
Was there a noticeable improvement in power and economy? I'm fairly certain that mine is the original Toyota pump and injectors and they have never been overhauled.

I've been quoted $524 for exchange injectors and $160 to $400 for the fuel pump depending on what work needs to be done to the pump.

Thanks for any info/ stories good or bad..

Black Stump.

Time to reward the ol girl for faithful service and give it a birthday .
Have the tappets done, critical on these every 40 - 50 thousand and have injectors o/hauled or c/over, price sounds close to the mark, have fuel pump o/hauled and injector pump adjusted if need be, and she will do another 200,000 without any problems.

Thanks Steve. I'll have the tappets done as well. I'm hoping for another 200,000 from the old girl yet!
