I last did the
Cape York trek including the telegraph track in 2010. I heard someone say the other day that the Development Rd is now partially sealed. Can someone tell me how far it is sealed.

From Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland)
Travelling to
Cape York is about to become a whole lot easier.
Check out the Peninsula Developmental Road (PDR) being transformed from a dirt track to more than 274km of sealed road.
By the end of this year about 60 per cent of the PDR will be sealed, improving access for locals, freight transport operators and tourists travelling to
Cape York.
This is part of the $260.5 million
Cape York Region Package, already benefiting the community.

Just got back from
Coen today and there's just under 100k of tar between
Coen and
Laura (246k). There is more north of
Coen not sure how much. It took me 4 hours and 15 minutes to do the 108 k between
Coen and Musgrave River, that was driving a truck and towing a dog trailer. Would be quicker in a 4x4.
