Planning to head into this region with the family for a couple of days, Victoria has experienced some wet weather / hot weather and just wanting to know track conditions ?

Thanks in advance.

Hotham has just had 124mm rain. And it is still raining now. I would give it a miss if you are planning this wknd.

Yes.

It's been a very wet spring too and you can expect tracks and fords to be rougher than usual.

If you want the latest, locate the Ranger for that part of the NP or a local 4WD club - http://4wdvictoria.org.au/index.php/4wd-clubs

Despite the wet spring (prior to yesterdays downpour) the bush had dryed out with river levels across the High Country generally very low. This rain event was not as severe on the Gippsland side of the range Rainfall so expect rivers to rise briefly but not flood. I wouldn't hesitate heading into that area this weekend for those with decent tyres & a snorkel (& appropiate experience ;-)
Expect Zeka spur to be slippery as it has been chopped up already this season.
