Afternoon all, I'm playing around planning a possible
Kimberley trip this coming year, my quandary is whether to take the Buchanan Highway all the way from the Stuart Hwy to
Timber Creek or cut into
Gregory National Pk near
Victoria River Downs and not bother in checking out Charles crossing &
Jasper Gorge?
Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Dunc

Have driven the Buchanan a couple of times, most recently as August this year. Normally in good condition, 75-80 kph towing a boat is no problem.
Jasper Gorge has small
camping area with no facilities, but have never gone into the NP as each time had a 5 m boat in tow. Could
camp at the crossing as
well.
