We are 100% happy with our 650 dual front and rear. You may find this link has some interesting comments on both.

Street Guardian SG9665GC and BlackVue DR650GW-1CH,

I have the Street Guardian. Small, discreet, and I had a follow up enquiry and found the importer very helpful.

I got the SG9665GC with a 128GB card for Christmas. It seems to work well, nice clear recording and pretty much set and forget. I haven't crash tested it yet though.

One thing I found was the set up wasn't as intuitive as I would like and the 'quick start guide' told you bugger all. Basically though, plug it in, set the parameters you want, leave it plugged in and leave it alone.
The SG9665SG User Manual gives you more information on how it all works.

It does everything its self, including shutting down when you stop moving and motion activated recording when parked.
There is no internal battery, so if you only want to record trips, then wire it into a switched power supply or plug it into the ciggy lighter (my ciggy lighter is powered all the time, so this isn't always the best option). If you want the motion sensing function to work, then it will need power all the time, but with that is the potential for running down the battery if it is left plugged in for a long time.

Whatever you get, Registrator Viewer is a really handy and free program to dump all the video files into. It maps your trip, shows the video clips, speed, zoom in and out, allows you to group the 600+ 1 to 5 minute files into 1 or split them into smaller files. Very handy.

But, yes, I'd get another and I think they are good value.

Blackview and Blackvue are two different makes of camera and Street guardian are different also
Most Streetguardians dont have parking mode which can be usefull
I have a Blackvue DR500GW-HD in the front and a DR450GW-HD in the rear Both are 1080p HD unlike the 650 rear which is a lower resolution
Both have GPS You can buy one of these and it will stop your battery going flat

That dashcamtalk forum is absolutely the best independent review site.

I have a StreetGuardian SG9665GC and I am very satisfied with it, and my son has one too. The support here in Oz is unmatched. I had an issue with the GPS module, and a replacement was despatched within hours.

Anyone contemplating a SG or a Blackvue should read the comparison and decide the features they want. I would NOT suggest any cameras purchased from overseas as there are huge numbers of clones (knockoffs) being offered.

Also if you have hours to kill, check out the long-running dashcam thread on Whirlpool.

Strange I have bought 5 from overseas sellers and had no trouble with any of them
Several were Korean models and we altered the firmware to speak English no trouble. A bit harder to do on the newer models but can be done never the less

Of course there are knock offs with some models more than others and mostly in the cheapies with several being identical but with different names
DOD are one brand that has endless fakes
