I have only cought up with this post today, Stephen. It was posted a couple of days before we left Port Augusta for the Gawler Ranges and Mount Ive Station. Great information and photos. Particularly interested in your Painted Desert pics.
One of our options when we are finished in the Flinders Ranges this year is to leave it to the north via the Oodnadatta Track. The detail in your post makes that much more likely.
Cheers,
Kevin

Hi Kevin

The Oadnadatta Track is always a great drive and at least the time of the year you plan to be there it should be fine.

There is lots to see already Ng the way and just take your time.

Have a great drive and will look forward to your blog.

Cheers
