Hi - new version of OziCe for those interested...

OziCE webpage

Changes

+Version 2.44a is only for wince core devices (which is just about all wince devices available now).

+Added dedicated open/save/close/cancel etc buttons to dialogs - no more tiny OK / X buttons on caption.

+Increased track tail size from 1000 to 3000 points.

+Settings saved "on the fly" instead only on software close - good for in-dash units where device is turned off by ignition.

+Improved look and feel on 800x480 resolution devices.

+Major speed improvements.

+Other minor changes.

Cheers
Greg

does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade a Hema HN7 to include these new features?

Hello

I have not tried on a HN7 (or the new update) but in the past on HN5, it was just a case of copying the new OziCe *.exe file over and over writing the old one (make a back up). It that instance all the other files included in the update were the same as the old ones so transferring those was not needed. At a guess I would say HN7 and new update will be the same procedure.

May however pay to ask OziExplorer and/or Hema direct before doing anything ..though suspect Hema may tell you to send it to them, but it shouldn't be that hard. I personally would just try - worst case scenario you have to send it to them anyway :)

Cheers

Hi Greg

I am currently running version 2.4 in a VMS in dash unit. Do I have to up-date my VMS with version 2.42b before up-dating to version 2.44a?

Thanks

Howard

Hello

No - each update includes all previous changes...so just use most recent version.

Cheers

Looks good from my little gander at it -just wish i could get better GPS acknowledgement under the carport roof !

Need to be aware that when downloading if you still have a previous variant of exe file will be named

oziexplorerce(1).exe

the (1) will cause issues when you try and operate the executable file need to remove the brackets and number then it works fine

best suggestion if you still have legacy exe files on your download file get rid of them prior to downloading latest variant

Had me scratching head for awhile

Hi

I rename updates using version number and save them. Will probably never need them but sometimes updates aren't always for the better.
