very interesting read. It is good that the authorities are going out of their way to help educate the many that do not understand without throwing the book at them. Education is more beneficial. I have been on the weigh
bridge many times with various applications, and I still find myself amazed by the final reading. I am lucky that one of our local businesses (trucking company owner) is a caravaner and loves to help people get their weighs and distribution on the right track at no cost. He just loves a chat, and here about
places where people go

As the owner of a weighbridge I often weigh tugs and vans. The worst was a new bogie van behind a prado that had 390 kgs on the ball and was empty except for water and gas. He could only put 90 K's in the van before the legal weights were exceeded. He went back to the manufacturer who then blamed our weighbridge, he persisted and some remedial work was carried out but he had to buy another vehicle that could tow the van. In my opinion from all my weighing the system is corrupt and as an owner of trucks and subject to the chain of responsibility rules it is discussing that they can get away with it.
Lindsay.
