I recently had some very helpful people identify a little bird up here at Telfer the other day (Crimson Chat), thank you all.
I have attached a photo of another little bird, looks like a ground dwelling type with a nice golden colour on its back with black wing tips when it flies.
When I did get close enough I noticed that it kept bobbing its head.

If anyone can assist with its ID would be appreciated.

Hello

Here are two possibilities to check out.

1 Australian Pratincole
and
2 Inland Dotterel

Hope that's helpful!

Australian Pratincole. Seen in open country and flushed from road sides and tracks. Has pointed wings in flight with a swallow action. Can be in large flocks anywhere across most of Australia. This is a young bird.

Cheers,

Mike
