Heading to Bribie Island in September for a look. We are going to stay in a van park. Having never been before we would like some recommendations as to which park. Thanks in advance.

G'day Wayne, I live on Bribie and would suggest the Bongaree Caravan Park (passage side of the island) would be the better choice as there are no permanent residents at that park. The current fee is $33.
Hope this helps!

Hi, we stayed at the Woorim park a month or so ago and found it pretty good. However being our first weekend away in a council run van park for a looong time we may be out of touch. It was pretty busy but not rowdy and dead quite at night.

It was quite interesting because a lot of reviews on it in the past are negative quoting among other things rude management. They came across as fine to us and the permanents were friendly, I suppose it all depends on your expectations.

If you eat out/takeaway the calm side has the better options, at Woorim the pub is pretty average and apart from the surf club which we haven't tried pretty much everything else shuts early.

Should be nice in September so regardless of where you stay your on a winner.

As an "almost local" most of my life (visiting family monthly) I have walked my dog past all the parks. I chat to the tourists and regard their holidays and vans with a great deal of envy!!
I don't recall any complaining about the parks for many years.
The surf club does nice meals on the "surfside" if you choose Woorim but I always loved the location of the park at Bongaree-very near the jetty, near the Bowls Club (nice meals) and take some of Savages' fish and chips to the park near the jetty for tea.
September's a pretty good time of year with the weather. And it's just so "unbusy" compared to so many other places.
Bribie is well known for dying at night time so there's not usually too much commotion!
Be warned-many come to holiday and find they're back permanently as soon as life permits.
Robyn :)
