Hi technofiles, looking for some input regarding settings for the vast TV system.
Currently in Tassie, used the sta TV a few time without problem.
Recently tried to set up the (portable) system without success. I have a Satlink finder which has been faultless. Tried direct connect to the TV using the signal indicator to tune in with out sucess.
My current finder settings are :- Tp 12567. Sybol rate 27600, polarity H
Vast box settings. Frequency 12567, symbol rate 30000, polarity V, Lbn freq. 10700. Tested cables all seem ok. I'm beginning to to think the dish may be distorted as I have replaced the lnb.
Hope you can throw some light on the problem.
Cheers
Jon

Yer, they can be a PITA at times.
If you have Wikicamps, it is a very good tool for setting the dish as it gives the compass direction, elevation and the LNB skew angle. You can also use the camera to show exactly where in the sky the dish needs to point - very handy for working around trees.
Really doubt that it would be the dish unless you can see physical damage.
Last time I had problems it ended up being the LNB - I was reading it a 5 degrees but it was actually 0.5 degrees down at
Busselton.
