HI all, this is my first ever post.

I own an imported hj60v which is a fully 24volt unit. I have several electrical problems and I desperately need a wiring diagram. This model seems to be a version somewhere between an early and late hj60 according to the Gregorys

Haze,
Be very careful my friend........This Pesty bloke has got his heart in the right place........but as for his "mind".........; well, lets just say that most of the information in it is of dubious value.LOLOLOL
hahahaha
But then again he DOES know a lot about landcruiser 60 series because he spends half his life rebuilding the buggars!!! LOL

thanks for the response pesty.
I have two main problems. charge rate is low at 26.5 volts.. This drops to 24.1 at idle revs.
Glow plug indicator lamp works but no glowplug operation. new relay fitted.
Have only had HJ for 10 months and am slowly finding my way round.

So much to learn, so little time.

Cheers,
Haze

I have a Toyota 2H engine workshop manual (1981) and a Toyota chassis/body manual (1980) that both have the 24v wiring diagrams in them as well as how to test charging and glow circuits.
According to the manual both 12 and 24v are virtually the same as far as the wiring goes. (it just says 12 or 24v where the battery is on the diagram)
If you ask nicely I might be able to scan the relevant sections and email them to you.

thanks Peter
I do need any help possible.
no publication I have matches the wiring colours used on my hj.
As it is a direct import and is basically to sahara spec with al the electrical doo-dahs it is a fairly complex harness. Toyota seem to hide components fairly well too.
As much info as you can manage please. Particularly the charge circuit test info if this refers to 24v system. My email address is hazelden@bigpond.net.au
Kindest regards Haze

The wire colours probably won't match this manual either, it is very early in the life of 60 series (1981) and is probably for a basic vehicle with a 2H engine where I guess yours has a 12ht.
I'll scan the charge stuff tomorrow, try anyway

Thanks peter.
hj has 2H motor with an aftermarket turbo. Year of man. 1995.
Go's like a train and pulls forever. Consumes fuel at same rate as train when pulling Goldstream Link campervan plus 5 adults and gear.
Just completed 10,000km in a month inc. Gibb River Rd. @ 21.5l/100km??
Is this considered too much??
I await your info with much expectancy. Very little available hair left.

haze

here is a link so you can down load the complete manuals for yourself and keep them.

they are big files so if u hva a 56k modem best to down load them just before u go to bed and they will be there in the morning when u wake.

heres the link.
http://www.birfield.com/

on the right select landcrusier manuals and then choose what manuals u want.
