Or have you met other people on foot, bicycle or camel that are not listed here?

I am looking for sighting verification, logging position and dates, photos, anecdotes, impressions etc.

There are a few stories up already - information never published before. Enjoy.

Thank you Ivan. I expect there will be more activity June/July/August. Cyclists don't do well in mud. As a walker......I wish I was ready this year. This would be the year to do it. And early. Now.

Thanks for posting Gaynor . There would have been a hell of a lot of research involved to gather all that information.

It is ongoing Maurice!

Finding out who claims what was/is a challenge. I have uncovered more than 30 additional attempts to what was known in 2013.

The big job I have now is researching the facts for article writing. 4x4 traveller sightings with photos is a major help in that regard. Helps me track the journey and tracking tells a lot about that journey.

Scott, would you able to email me the photos you have? Walker and cyclists. I am not sure if I have seen them.

Gaynor - still trying to get the photos to you - having an issue with size - may wind up sending you a number of discreet emails

Paul AKA Flighty (WA)...

My previous post was deleted. Hopefully the Moderation Team will allow this comment?

You made a post about seeing a pushy on the Canning Stock Route - Archived ThreadID: 88683 in 2011.

In the comments you mentioned you had taken photos of him, but were trying to figure out how to upload to this forum. No photos were forthcoming, so I presume there was difficulty.

I am in contact with the cyclist - Martijn Boonman, and he is kindly writing an article for my website and book about his journey. I would love to discover photos of him on the Canning that are yet unpublished. Can you help?

1991

From the book Work Completed, Canning by Phil Bianchi

'Rawlings and Backford, in a Citroen 2CV, 1991
Mathew Rawlings and Rupert Backford also succeeded in travelling the CSR in a two wheel drive vehicle; a Citroen 2CV. The Citroen had difficulty with many dunes crossing and had to be towed over. Their crossing of the CSR was a leg of their drive around the world. They had came overland from England through Asia, drove around Australia, shipped the vehicle to South America, and then drove to Canada, where it was shipped back to England.'

If you travelled the csr in 1991 did you perhaps get any photos of the Citroen?

Thank you to everyone for your emails. I have a story of the beach buggy crossing for publishing later in the year. Awesome stuff. Plenty of photo's too.
Also, numerous sightings and photos of Swiss Explorer Sarah Marquis who attempted to walk the CSR in 2003. Brilliant stuff. Thank you again.
