My life lately has been plagued with items made of black plastic that has gone all sticky. Eg. my hair clippers, an LED lantern and a torch. I found that Tea Tree oil works well. Rub it in with a tissue all over the effected surface. Don't know what makes the plastic go sticky but this works well. Wipe it dry with a dry tissue.
