We're planning (early June) to go from Arltunga in East MacDonell Ranges up to the
Plenty Highway and then East towards Diamantina NP. Had heard the road was closed, so thought I'd ask the brains trust. Will be travelling in a Landcruiser wagon and a Hilux dualcab. Any information apreciated.

Lowan as far as I know that track has been closed for a number of years due to its very poor condition?
Contact the City of
Alice Springs they will be able to give you current information.

Been shut for a few years - have to use
the Pinnacles Track to Gemtree instead.
