There is still alot of confusion as to road closures due to weather. Just spoken to Jono at Mungerannie and the
Birdsville Track is open all the way, including the stretch from
Marree to
Lyndhurst. He says that it is still abit sloppy from 30km south of Mungerannie, north to
Mirra Mitta bore, however as long as you stay in the middle of the road - no problems. He added that the
wildflowers are starting to blossom so within a couple of weeks it should start to really turn on.
The
Simpson desert is also open, with Dalhousie not being cut anymore. Some people just came back from a return trip to
Poeppel Corner and had a very easy run.
Looking forward to seeing anybody heading up this way for some fine food, best coffee or shake, some groovey entertainment or just a walk through the Gallery to see some of Wolfgang's amazing watercolours. Remember, Exploroz members receive a free cake & coffee with every Wolfgang
John print purchased.

Karsten, does the free coffee and cake apply to prints purchased from the Charity Auction? Only joking. See you in a about a month.

Karsten, good news, thank you. Hope to see the Track next week and of course all the flowers. Expect to catch up with you and Ruth when we get there. Think our vehicle is a bit identifiable to miss it with the EO wheel covers now on both wheels.
