Gday intend towing caravan up the matilda highway to
karumba then to
cairns. have planned departure for end march early april. on hf sounds really wet still. should i postpone my holidays for a month or does it usually clear up quickly . regards and thanks peter

Hi Peter. As long as you stick to the bitumen there shouldnt be any problems. The wet season tends to end fairly abruptly away from the east coast but the weather is unpredictable. The temperatures will be more pleasant towards the end of April.
