It's interesting to see the massive profits still being ripped us off, via diesel pump prices.
Perth pump prices for diesel are still running around $1.23 to $1.25 - while petrol is regularly $1.08 - $1.10.
Yet the wholesale "Terminal Gate Price" shows diesel is selling for the same price as petrol, or even a full 2 cents a litre cheaper.

Business Rort No.1 - How to make a constant 20% profit with Big Oil backing - buy a servo and sell diesel.

Guess I am lucky with the independent nearby (read 15 min drive) who has his price around 10cpl cheaper than the team players who all have same price for diesel

The downside is they often "run out of fuel" next delivery next week useful when its friday of a long weekend.

Wonder how many of that list were "unmanned" depots as that often has a cheaper price than manned -not that i endorse unemployment but if a independent has price 10cpl cheaper then surely a roadhouse has same capacity as they also sell other 'consumables" which they can make a large margin of profit

The Chidlow Growers Mart, in the Hills above Perth, has been selling diesel at $1.15 or $1.14 for at least 3 months - whilst all the other servos have been gouging $1.25 and up to $1.35 for diesel.

That's a huge difference, and it's not like the Chidlows Growers Mart is going broke anytime, they are still making 7c to 8c a litre margin on the diesel. The long-term profit margin on fuel at a retail point, is 2c a litre!!

Coles and Woolworths are the worst, they drop the price of petrol, and gouge diesel users, to make up for their lack of petrol profit on "discount days".
It's not unusual in W.A. to find diesel substantially cheaper outside the city.
