good morning fellow travellers, I was just wondering if some persons could shed some light on the condition of
Nanga Station, now , as it has been over thirty years since we have been up that way and it was once an ideal place to go and holiday. In general any recent input would be appreciated.

I presume you mean
Nanga Bay Resort? We stayed there 5 yrs ago and it was run-down, tired, and poorly staffed. We won't be going back anytime soon.
We could regularly smell the smoke from dope smokers, and it was employees smoking the dope.
I don't smoke, but I think the depressing "aura" of the place could drive me to smoke dope, too.
Not too many good reviews, either, in the last 5 yrs, from other travellers.
The indications are the owner couldn't care less about the place and won't spend a cent on it unless forced to.
Bit of a shame really, because it's a nice spot, and it could be a winner with a major upgrade and the right owners.
