yesterday we packed up the family for a quick easy daytrip to Wombat and lerderderg park for some sight seeing and track trips befor the rest of them close or winter most had already .
shortly after turning onto firth rd then onto another small unposted track that led to saltwater creek we saw an albino wallaby right near the rd was great to see .
better not tell the greenies as this would shut down the park post haste!!
then the creek was a little slippery and steep so we avoided it for now and headed back up
hill on some greasy tracks becoming momentarily bogged in a big
mud hole with no way around , this allowed some water into the cabin much to the disgust of SHMBO (lol) and master 2's amusement but after a quick winch we were soon out only to be turned around for a convoy of hoons ahead stuck in a larger puddle to big for me anyway without the
snorkel (still).
then down to ambler lane to a great spot diamond and i found a while back for camping near the tunnel on the verge of two small creeks .
luching here to warm up the bones and do a recon for another day.
then over the blackwoodside for some slippery steep hills to
test out the aired down cooper s/t's and a bit of exploring the side tracks here was good fun.
nothing too serious as we were only one car on the day.
loving my new found two day weekends lol.
cheers

There some greattracks up that way but you do have to explore found plenty of old gold
mine's and have explored them and found a few trinkets. But some of these tracks are rough and slippery.
