When you are youngish and just starting out on travel adventures you tend not to notice so many of these bush pubs having closed.

But when you are eighty, and have spent a good proportion of those years working and travelling in out of the way places, their absence now is very much noticed.

But its the way things go, and with the price of a beer over the bar now its maybe little wonder they fail.

But good news.

When I was passing through Wubin (WA) a few weeks ago the long closed pub was about to reopen!

Easy to drive straight through Wubin unless you need fuel but if you have an hour to spare the little museum by the Station is worth a look for some local history about pioneer wheat growers in the region

Cheers
