It's a hell of trip utilising
old mine tracks, cut lines and more often then not, pushing your own way through the relentless dunes of the Great Sandy. It's probably easier to access by pushing north from the Anna Plains Track. Permissions are difficult. Take plenty of tyre patching equipment!

Wonderful country out there but as Mick O says take lots of tyre repair gear.
Here is an article I wrote about a trip out there in 2012.

Yes I remember following that expedition intently here at my desk Phil. Many an hour was spent waiting for the next ping from Jaydubs Spot Tracker. Certainly the stuff memories are made of.
Cheers

Here's a plot from Roebuck Roadhouse to the soak (same as the trip Phil went on)
Note this way you will need permission from both
Dampier Downs and the TO's.
I have a blog on this site too, which mirrors Phil's article.

Also ...Keep in mind it is a
nature reserve and not a 4WDers adventure park so avoid making new tracks/burning all the wood blah blah blah...and keep your eyes and ears open for the night parrot :)
Cheers
