Good morning,

I thought I would provide an update on my prior questions and a big thank you for those that gave me advise.

The forum threads that I am particularly referring to are 135313 Caravan, 135519 inverter, 135599 solar v battery, 135616 inverter.

We have just come back from a very dry Trilby Station on the Darling river in NSW.
This was the first trip using our new Jayco outback pop top.

I installed another 100AH deep cycle battery to give 200AH.
Also added a 2000w pure sine wave inverter.

Wired up a anderson plug onto our 30 amp solar regulator to be able to use our 180 W portable solar. (2 x 90W) with the roof mounted 150W panel.

The English Rose didn't use the hair drier, but we did use the Princess's CPAP type machine nightly via the inverter, using the built in amp meter on the Drifter control panel the draw at night with just the machine was 4.5 to 6 amps.

I didn't do any real measurement but it seemed to me that the solar (with me manually chasing the sun) managed to put enough back in to keep the batteries charged.

We did use the generator 1 day because of a 42 *C. day. But over the 7 nights we were there I was happy with the way every thing went.

William
