G'day everyone.
I've got a HZJ75 series that since it's purchase in 2001 has had a combination pintle hook, tow ball (see Fig 1) that I'd like to convert to the box type hitch (see Fig 2).
The adapter in Fig 2 is for a 40 series and may not fit and it's on a North American website.
Has anyone seen something similar in Australia?

I can't help you with this query specifically, but it looks like the sort of thing any towbar manufacturer or engineering
shop should be able to knock up for you.
Probably easy for me to say that here in Kalgoorlie where we're knee deep in boilermakers, welders and engineers but they're in great profusion in most cities or other large towns as
well.

Thanks Paul, I think the issue here is it isn't rated, certified so whilst it's a simple bit of engineering you can't find a someone that would take the job on.
This isn't for towing either, the current solution is fine for towing and I'll just bolt the pintle hook back on cause it's only four bolts and I only tow a boat a few times a year. It's to put a bike rack on the vehicle, it's an ex-government vehicle so not really child friendly.
...I thought the 2k it cost to put a back
seat in it a few years ago to accommodate a couple of child seats would be the end of it - it never ends!
