Hi all
Another road question. I would like to get up to Polblue in
Barrington Tops NP, going in from
Gloucester and out to
Scone. For anyone who knows the road, would it pose any problems for the Prado towing a 12ft offroad van?
Is it a
good campsite (March hopefully)?
Advice appreciated.

There is no problem at all.
The climb up from
Gloucester is steep gravel and has some corrugations on the many corners, so would be OK as long as it isn't snowing. Ther eis a snow
gate at the top but in March should be OK
Polblue Swamp
camping area is beautiful IMHO being the source of the Hunter river in the sedge grass swamp. It can get quite cold at night.

Should be fine. As mentioned be prepared for any weather. It was 37degree 6pm tonight with possible sleet by tomorrow morning. Top spot And so is glouster van park on they way. Think they still give you a beer voucher for the bc next door

The drive out is very scenic too. Powered sites with a shower/
toilet block next to the river at
Moonan Flat, walk to the pub. A small charge I think?

Logging trucks used to do it, so a van will be fine.
The climb on both ends is reasonably steep and windy, but drive to the conditions, keep in tight on the bends and keep an eye on the temp gauge and you'll be fine.
I used to drive back and forward in my Sigma, so a 4x4 will present no challenge.
