Hi all, happy New Year to everyone.

I'm planning a trip up the CSR with a camper trailer (C/T) later this year and looking for somewhere to leave it near Well 5 so I can travel from Wiluna to Well 5 (or vice versa) without it attached to the tug. Does anyone know if Granite Peak Station or Glenayle Station would be happy to store the C/T there for a couple of days while I do a loop along the bottom section of the CSR and back? Any other suggestions for potential alternatives would also be welcomed from those who've done a similar trip with a C/T in the past.

We're not new to travelling through desert country with the C/T in tow and have a more than capable rig to undertake the trip. I'm looking for assistance in solving my desire to travel the whole length of the CSR on this trip since its a long way to go when you live in Melbourne.

Looking forward to getting some good suggestions from previous CSR travellers.

Cheers

Trailers make so much more difficult. We took a single axle down the Canning and was bloody near impossible to drag over some of the bigger dunes. I'd give the stations a ring and ask them about leaving it at one.

We did it with camper trailers & had no real issues.
Why not just call Granite Peak & ask them?

This has been mentioned on EO sometime in the past, Rob. Don't remember which one of the 2 stations you referrred to do this, but seemed happy to do so.......for a small fee.

It may even be in the CSR trek notes?

Can't remember most of it.

The Ward Family from Granite Peak (Well 9) are very nice people. Call, they are sure to help you.

Well 5 Carnegie Station people are also used to travellers. Why not call directly.

Cunyu Station (Wells 3 and 4) people don't encourage traveller interaction.
Failing all that, why not hide trailer in bush somewhere, not near a well with a note to please leave alone, You will be back. Arnold Schwarzenegger?
