Hi all. Every time I go to use the
Forum, I get a message telling me that I am the lucky millionth visitor and have won a banquet with Trump or a Date with an Apple or whatever. I must be the luckiest

Technically you will always be the millionth visitor, you can't unvisit. It just remembers you and thinks to itself, "Oh, it's our millionth visitor, he's back again".

Michael, it is not a serious issue of course but these types of messages serve only to annoy some of us, particularly in the absence of some meaningful reward or recognition for being the Millionth visitor. The system ought allow for the message to be switched off, otherwise what is the purpose? Maybe the recipient/s get to enjoy a feel good moment whenever logging in. Bob

Nothing to do with ExplorOz - these are Google ads that appear all over the internet. Most websites run Google Adwords advertising as its hard to make money from a website unless you have a product to sell. We run Google Ads in our website to try to make some money from site users without you having to spend anything. So just ignore or click and help us earn from those ads ;)

Yes, I try to block annoying or misleading Google ads like that on my website, but after while they bounce back. I also have them to try and cover site costs, although these days with people use ad blockers, and spending more time on Facebook, they fall
well short of covering site costs :(.

It seems that you are all mistaken. As of 5 mins ago I am now the OFFICIAL 1,000,000th visitor. The message actually confirms the authenticity of MY claim by saying it is no "joke". I know that many of you have probably attempted to claim the prize but given the position stated it is obviously coming to me. So suck eggs, stiff poo and up ya nose with a rubber hose - I win !!!!!!
