A question for our Members

We are due to restock our supply of the Members brochure "Your Guide to Membership" and I wondered how relevant you think this is to continue?

The content was carefully prepared based on ensuring you had a hard copy to keep for handy reference that gave an outline of the actual Member only features that you have access to use, what they are, and how to use them.

But I suspect that many people don't keep it, or refer to - in particular 1 of the 8 panels is specifically about how to create mobile blogs - but we don't see anyone using that feature. Perhaps its time to just make this available as a pdf that you read online? This would save us printing it, and mailing it to you - although we would still like to send you the exclusive Members only bumper sticker showing your year of Membership as we know how much you like/use that.

So what would Members like us to do: reprint it, or not, or cut it back to a single sided flyer , or only publish it online?

Hi Michelle, I wonder how many people actually read it. It maybe ok for new members but everyone these days are used to looking online for that sort of information. A one page flyer may be ok. Michael

Hi Michelle, great idea to make it an online document, members can then save it to their own computer to refer to it as they need to.

Online seems fine to me.

Also wonder about the membership sticker because I think it now has a date - liked the round one without a membership year date so it doesn't go out of date and this would save costs.

Yes, put it online Michelle. But make it easy to find for new members (and for some old members too)

I frequently have trouble determining what is available to non-members when advising where to find info,

I guess I received a hard copy upon joining but do not remember it and wouldn't be able to locate it anyway!!!
Cheers

Michelle,

Put the brochure on line, save money, and everyone, well almost everyone, will be able to find it on ExplorOz.

Wouldn't have a clue where mine is, or even if I've read it.

I'd just send something in hard copy to new members by way of introduction (sticker and brochure, or just a welcome letter).
From then on it's more convenient to access everything online.

On line please Michelle. It is always there, whereas hard copies so get misplaced or forgotten.

And again for me thanks Michelle.

I am a real hoarder, but even I chucked my copy out earlier this week in an effort to reduce some 'clutter'.

Happy to look it up on the website - easier to locate. :O)

Cheers - Phil

Hi all - thanks for taking the time to respond. I have enough feedback that I'm happy to proceed with stopping the printed version and will pop the updated version online in the Members section.
