G'day Dan, Great tale. I take my hat off to you.
I learned my lesson re salt lakes 40 years ago, alone in a little Subaru. Went down to the body and seemed to be still sinking. Nearby was a half-sunken burned-out wreck and I could imagine my near-new Suby finishing up that way. Managed to summon some assistance and got free. Never again the salt lakes! Doubt that I could ever get my current Troopy out of that mess!

Hey Allan, thank you - nice wheels btw. A Subaru Touring Wagon was my intro to 4WDing - only got bigger from there! Hilux and now my 2nd Troopy! Love being out there - it's so much fun and peaceful to boot! cheers Dan
