That sounds an epic journey.

That road will be closed from about 3rd June this year by Defence. Check their site for closure dates.

Hi Lindsay,

The Dept of Defence regularly close sections of the Woomera Prohibited Area which include an eastern section of the Anne Beadell Hwy. Even when not closed you need a permit to travel on that section. (permits here)

At the time you are considering, the Amber Zone 2 Area which includes the ABH will be closed from 3 June 2018 to 30 June 2018.
Any closures beyond 30 June 2018 have not yet been declared.

We are going in August...pending closures, but will go solo...much better.

Doing the Anne Beadell in mid April from Laverton.. See you on the track. Will be on Channel 40, as suggested in all literature . Plan to be in Coober 28 April or maybe sooner. Permits were all achieved via Websites. And thanks to people who responded to my thread about the permits. Skip
