Damn! ran over a stick along the cave hill woodlines that sprung up and dented the lower right hand fender on my hzj75. No worries I thought just go to the wreckers and get one ready painted. Same story everywhere "nu no way either rusty, dented or sold with good ones being compared to hens teeth. Anyway I must choose between gen for around $400 or aftermarket for $260. My limited experience with aftermarket is that there can be fitting issues. Xperiences anyone?

I wouldn't fix it until you sell the vehicle. You will probably fix it and then the same thing will occur, which happened to me!

yea thought of that as it is not severly damaged and a low cost option might come along it is however depressing to look at

ta, what is making me think is that a perth wrecker told me(they sell new parts as well) is that that particular panel doesnt fit well in aftermarket but the bonnets are ok I will probably get an aftermarket then I will be able to share the xperience good or bad

Leave the damaged panel - dents and dings are "hero marks" to a 4WD. Every one tells a story of it's adventure. True 4WDs LOVE showing off their "hero marks"

Sorry - I really shouldn't let my Cruiser near the keyboard - what a show off

I agree. Your pride has suffered more damage and that will heal soon enough
