If you are out that way go to Walga Rock. Fantastic Aboriginal art work and FREE entry!!!. Made road from Cue or Doard on scenic drive from Mt Magnet.

Sealed for many years.Sandstone is an interesting and neat tiny town. Lovely little shire owned caravan park which has had new facilities since our visit ten years ago, and what they had rated as the best amenities block I have seen. Friendly little community. We called in for a night and stayed for three. Did a loop drive though Lake Mason and beyond. There is camping at Lake Mason.

sealed back in 2011 when Austsafari rally went that way.

You might be thinking of the meeka to wiluna section of goldfields hwy thats still has a gravel section involved.

Always worth checking out main roads website for any travel alerts been plenty of rain that way with few periodic closures - that are gets more from summertime storms than winter fronts.

sandstone london brdige and beer storage tunnel worth the drive from highway (road ?) to ahve a look at - wonder if london bridge still stands looked like it would collpase whenever it wanted to back in 2011
